The Red Barn is more than a child care center and preschool, it is a dream come true!  In 2005, the co-owners Sandra Cummings and Judy Westlund opened “The Hayloft”.  They served 15 children, and together they sang, read, taught, laughed, and learned.

Sandra earned her Master’s degree in 1999.  After teaching in a Head Start program and then in the public school system for many years, she decided that it was time to begin a new adventure.  Judy Westlund raised 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and maintained a career in the business world.  She always dreamed of the day when she could create and build a business of her own.  They are blessed to be able to share their tgalents and knowledge and to offer the kind of atmosphere that all children deserve.

During the year at the Hayloft, they built “The Red Barn”.  They wanted The Red Barn environment to maintain the same feeling that they had the previous year at The Hayloft.  They wanted a family atmosphere, individualized care, and high quality education.  So with Sandra’s education and experience along with Judy’s love of children and business sense, they created just that.
